Under this name, on December 24, 2024, a meeting dedicated to the International Day against Corruption was held at the State Service on Control and Regulation in the field of Transport within the framework of the “Year of Legal Education”, chaired by the Head of the Service, Kurbonzoda Daler Kurbon.
The meeting was attended by Rozikzoda A-Chief Inspector, and Shamsiddinzoda H-senior inspectors of the Anti–Corruption Department of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti–Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, the leadership and staff of the central office and structural divisions of the Service.
Opening the meeting, D. K. Kurbonzoda noted that the Republic of Tajikistan, under the leadership of the founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the country, the respected Emomali Rahmon, since the first days of independence, along with other important political, social and economic issues, has paid special attention to the fight against crime, especially corruption, developed and implemented important measures. and this process continues today with new steps.
It was noted that in order to reduce corruption risks and eliminate the human factor, the service has been operated electronically. In the system of transport services, non-cash payments are carried out in cooperation with smart payments.
Rozikzoda A – Chief Inspector of the Anti–Corruption Department of the Agency for State Financial Control and Anti-Corruption of the Republic of Tajikistan, stated that combating corruption and reducing its level depend on many factors, such as teamwork, mutual understanding, a high level of legal knowledge and education, and the activity of every person in society in uncompromising relations with these undesirable phenomena. To this end, the country has adopted regulatory legal acts, including the State Strategy for combating corruption in the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030 and the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Combating Corruption”.
It was emphasized that the emergence of corruption in any form is the reason for the weakening of the foundations of statehood and the human life system, and countering this phenomenon is considered not only as the duty of government agencies, but also as the civic mission of every citizen of the country. In this regard, the participants were invited to work collectively to combat corruption, take appropriate measures to prevent it and educate citizens in the anti-corruption spirit.
