In honor of the “International Human Rights Day” in 2024 – the “Year of Legal Education”, on December 10 this year, a solemn meeting on “Human and civil rights are the highest value” was held in the conference hall of the State Service on Control and Regulation in the Field of Transport.
At the beginning of the meeting, D.K. Kurbonzoda, Head of the State Service on Control and Regulation in the Field of Transport, began the work of the meeting in his opening speech, emphasizing that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, considered one of the main international documents, was adopted at a very important historical stage, when inequality in personal, economic, social, political and cultural rights, and laid a solid foundation for the future development of human rights in the global community.
The Universal Declaration of Human Rights focuses on recognizing the dignity of the individual, equality of rights, freedom, justice and peace throughout the world, warning Member States about violations of human and civil rights and freedoms, and recognizing freedom of speech, conscience and beliefs.
After gaining State independence and the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, special attention is paid to human and civil rights and freedoms.
The founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon, in his Message to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan noted that “the changing situation in the modern world and the persistent nature of dangerous phenomena of our time, including terrorism and extremism, arms smuggling, drug trafficking, cybercrime and other transnational crimes of concern to humanity, encourage We pay special attention to the issues of ensuring the security of the country and the rights and freedoms of man and citizen are of paramount importance.”
Also, D.S. Sanginov, Head of the Legal Department, S.M. Mudinzoda, Head of the Personnel and Special Works Department, and others took part in the meeting and made speeches.
