In order to ensure the safety of highways from premature service failures, weighing points are organized along the roads, where the weight of cargo vehicles is weighed using automatic, stationary and mobile dynamic weighing equipment. Their overloads are necessarily unloaded or transported by another vehicle. The mode of operation of weighing points is round-the-clock, in accordance with the duty schedule, the service staff, together with experts from the State Unitary Enterprise Center for Certification of Works and Services of the Transport Industry, ensure control. At the same time, the weight of the cargo must be weighed in accordance with the administrative measures taken against the carrier.
As a result of stricter controls, the cross-country capability of heavy-duty vehicles has significantly decreased.
