Dear compatriots and colleagues!
The celebration of the National Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan is considered as an extremely important and valuable event in the political, cultural, economic and social life of the country. This sacred holiday not only embodies the sovereignty and independence of the nation, but also serves as a unifying factor for the people on the path of progress and improvement of the Motherland.
On this occasion, I sincerely congratulate you and, through you, the entire glorious people of independent Tajikistan and express my best wishes. I wish that our national flag, this sacred symbol of national statehood, always flutters in an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and lasting stability of our beloved Motherland and leads the people of the country to a bright future, to new achievements and victories.
It is worth noting and being proud of the fact that the process of modern statehood and the adoption of the national flag as the first symbol of the independent state of Tajikistan, a symbol of sovereignty, unity and national pride began precisely with the historic XVI session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Tajikistan. In this regard, the Founder of peace and national unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized: “The national flag as the first symbol of the independent Tajik state on November 24, 1992, at the XVI session of the Supreme Council of the country, during which the fate of the new Tajik statehood was conceived, steps were taken to ensure peace and tranquility, political stability and national unity, as well as national goals have been established and adopted for the first time.”
During this time, dozens of large industrial, social and infrastructural facilities have been commissioned under the national flag in our beloved Homeland, including modern highways, bridges, tunnels and other important economic projects that have played a key role in strengthening state potential, developing the national economy and improving the standard of living of the population.
Moreover, in order to strengthen national feeling, patriotic pride and educate the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, the construction of transport and road structures has become a solid tradition in recent years. These measures not only contribute to economic progress, but also strengthen the sense of respect, love and devotion to the sacred national symbols in the heart of every citizen.
In this sense, the national flag is recognized as a unifying and reflecting force of political, cultural values, national ideas and national goals. Therefore, it is the filial duty and civic duty of each of us, especially the brave, courageous and patriotic youth of the nation, to always honor and protect this symbol of independence and freedom, self-awareness and self-knowledge, unity and cohesion, patriotism and national identity. Indeed, as the leader of the nation, dear Emomali Rahmon, constantly emphasizes, the national flag as a symbol of patriotic dignity awakens a sense of patriotism in the heart of every person and leads the nation to a prosperous, free and sustainable future.
I wish that the national flag of the Republic of Tajikistan, which this year marks the 33rd anniversary of its adoption, forever flutters in an atmosphere of calm and lasting stability of our beloved country, independent Tajikistan, and always serves as a source of inspiration and national pride!
Happy National Flag Day of the Republic of Tajikistan!
